Spring Cleaning in preparation for selling the house has begun!

Today I decided to start with the car. Start small and move to the grandiose later… right? It was innocent really… I though to myself, ‘boy I’d like to vacuum out the car because is to soooooo gross!’ An entire winter’s worth of twigs, dirt, hair, and candy bar bits are everywhere (don’t tell Jeremy that I’ve been eating candy in the car again). So, I vacuumed, and then thought, ‘wow the car’s dirty… I’ll wash it!’ It is now glistening out on the curb.

Then, Blondie and I went to the dog park and she got to run amuck with all of her four-legged friends. We’ve been trying to go a few times a week and boy does she love it!

Then I came home and did some weeding out in the yard and drilled holes through the fantastic gigantic wooden whiskey barrels that Cindy and Pat (Jer’s parents) bought for us. Soon I will fill them up with gorgeous spring flowers and they’ll beautify the backyard.

Next, I went into the house and vacuumed and cleaned the bedrooms in the basement. I’ve got two of the rooms completely cleaned out! Bit by bit, I’ll get this place looking good. For weeks now I’ve been filling up the trashcan with random things that have needed to be thrown out for some time. On Tuesday, a charity came by and collected a bunch of random stuff that I put out on the curb. And, the other day, I dropped off a bunch of stuff w/Eva (sorry about that Eva). It’s amazing how much stuff collects in your house over time. I wish I’d cleaned it out a long time ago… it feels so much better now. ☺

You waited until now to clean? You had the whole Winter quarter to avoid schoolwork!

Wow, we have different work ethics, Fatima!

Oh my goodness, you're actually cleaning your house... because you're going to SELL your house? Can't we just pretend that you're cleaning your house that is in Seattle because it's nice to live in a clean house in Seattle for years and years to come and invite your friends over to your house that is in Seattle? For my fragile sake?
